Non-Toxic Wardrobe Detox

Declutter Microplastic Clothing in Colorado Springs & Beyond

This service was born from my own journey toward a non-toxic lifestyle. After nearly a decade of reducing toxins in my home, I discovered the impact of microplastics in clothing—and transformed my own wardrobe. As a professional organizer with 8+ years of experience, I now help others declutter with confidence, simplify the process, and create a healthier, more intentional wardrobe.

Why It Matters

The Hidden Impact of Synthetic Fabrics

Most modern clothing is made from synthetic materials like polyester, nylon, and acrylic, fabrics that shed microplastics with everyday wear and washing. These tiny particles can be absorbed through the skin, inhaled, or released into your home environment.

In fact, studies estimate that a single load of laundry can release hundreds of thousands of microplastic fibers into the water system. Over time, this exposure can add up, especially when the majority of a wardrobe is made from synthetic blends.

The good news? You don't have to throw everything away. With the right guidance, you can gradually reduce exposure and build a wardrobe centered around natural, lower-tox materials.

A Good Fit

Is This Right for You?

This service is designed for you if:

You don't need to be perfect or start from scratch, just ready for a more supportive, informed approach.

Called Grace to Organize to help me unpack and organize my new house after a move and a lot of bins and boxes all over the kitchen, living room, and office. The 2 organizers were amazing. Super friendly and made a lot of suggestions for me to better organize the rooms in a clean functional way. Very hands on from the moment they arrived. Made my life significantly easier and made my house look like a house and not a construction site. Thank you very much!!!

Grace and her team did an amazing job helping organize our craft room and extended closet. Saved me a day or two of work and went above and beyond with the details. Extremely helpful after a stressful move. Would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Short and sweet: don’t think, just hire Grace. You’ll be so thankful you did. Grace and her amazing team helped organize our house after we did a cross-country move to Colorado. Initially, it was supposed to just be an organize and put away job because our movers were supposed to unpack for us. However, in typical moving fashion, the day the movers delivered our household goods they hit us with a ‘we’re not unpacking’ so I frantically texted Grace letting her know our movers bailed on unpacking for us. She was very kind and encouraging letting me know her team could help with unpacking as well as the organizing we initially discussed. Grace was always responsive to all my texts and very kind and reassuring while I was so overwhelmed during our moving process. I’m so appreciative to her and her team and we plan to work with her again in the future once our basement remodel is finished. Thanks, Grace!

I can’t recommend Grace to Organize enough! Grace and Melissa did an amazing job organizing our garage. They were incredibly efficient, worked quickly, and completely transformed the space without sacrificing quality. What stood out the most was how kind, professional, and completely nonjudgmental they were throughout the entire process. They made us feel comfortable from start to finish and turned what felt like an overwhelming project into a stress-free experience. If you’re looking for a team that’s organized, hardworking, and genuinely cares about their clients, Grace and Melissa are the ones to call. Thank you both for giving us a garage that is functional, organized, and looks fantastic! We will definitely be recommending Grace to Organize to our friends and family.

Before vs After: yes, a lot of the items from the before picture are packed away in the trailer so it’s not a completely fair comparison. But I didn’t realize how stress relieving it would be to have gone through every item with a team to get rid of things, better organize it etc. my toolbox was stressing me out in a huge way and for the first time, I have my toolbox organized and can pull our car into our old house. Can’t wait to get to new house because that’s where I really want their help!

Oh. My. Word. A kids playroom and my craft room. These are rooms I now want to be in! The kids have rediscovered toys they forgot about, and are putting things away when done. And I'm excited to start up some projects that I just haven't had the room to work on. Everything is beautiful AND functional. And y'all are so fast, ... Grace to Organize did in just a few hours what would have taken me weeks to accomplish. THANK YOU!!

We had a great experience with Grace to Organize! Very professional and high quality every step of the process. My kitchen and pantry look amazing and are super efficient for our family now. I’m already looking forward to planning my next organizing project with them.

non-toxic clothing Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A more intentional wardrobe
Feel confident in what you own and why you own it, with pieces that align with your values and lifestyle
  • Getting dressed becomes easier
Fewer decisions, better options, and a closet that actually works for you
  • More clarity when shopping
Understand what to look for (and what to avoid), so you can make informed, confident choices moving forward
  • Increased awareness of what you’re wearing daily
Once you understand the impact of synthetic fabrics and microplastics, it becomes easier to make choices that support your overall wellbeing

We’ll begin by focusing on the areas that tend to have the highest exposure to synthetic fabrics—like activewear, undergarments, and anything you sweat in. These pieces are often worn close to the skin and are a great place to make an immediate impact.

From there, we’ll look at the items you wear most frequently and begin simplifying your wardrobe with intention. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s creating meaningful shifts that feel realistic and sustainable.

You don’t have to get rid of everything. Many clients choose to keep a few synthetic pieces for occasional use, while significantly reducing everyday exposure.

We’ll also touch on footwear and socks, which are often overlooked. Your feet can absorb more than you might expect, so choosing better materials here can make a difference. I’ll share what I’ve learned through my own experience, including guidance on more natural options and minimalist (barefoot-style) shoes if that’s something you’re interested in.

One of the biggest challenges people face is knowing what to replace items with. After booking, you’ll receive a curated guide with recommended swaps, materials, and trusted options—so you can feel confident and prepared before we even begin.

To keep the process focused and not overwhelming, I offer half-day sessions (up to 4 hours). This allows us to make meaningful progress without decision fatigue, so you can feel confident about what you’re keeping and letting go of.

Every wardrobe is different, so while we make significant progress during your session, completion depends on the size and complexity of your space. My goal is to help you create a clear, intentional foundation and build momentum you can continue confidently.

If needed, additional sessions can always be scheduled for continued support.

As we work through your wardrobe, we’ll sort items into clear categories like keep, donate, or discard—so the process feels organized and manageable.

I can take donation items with me at the end of your session. If an assistant is included, they’re able to remove items throughout the session, allowing us to keep working without interruption and make the most of our time.

The investment for a session is $500 (up to 4 hours) of hands-on support. While many clients choose to focus on their wardrobe, we can also use this time to address other areas of your home—such as cleaning products, kitchen items, or everyday essentials—depending on your goals.

For larger spaces or clients looking to make more progress in a single session, an assistant can be added for $300 (up to 4 hours). This allows us to work more efficiently—and includes help with removing and taking away donation items at no additional cost.

Most clients find that a half-day session is the perfect starting point to create clarity and momentum in their home.

Yes—while wardrobe detox is a primary focus, I also offer guidance in other areas of the home, including your cleaning routine, hygiene, cooking tools, and pantry.

After nearly a decade of pursuing a lower-tox lifestyle, I’ve spent countless hours researching, testing, and simplifying what actually works. I bring that knowledge into each session so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

We can take this process as gradually or as intentionally as you’d like. Some clients choose to focus on one area at a time, while others prefer to touch on multiple spaces in a single session to start creating meaningful change throughout their home.

You’ll also gain the knowledge and confidence to make more informed choices moving forward—so the impact lasts well beyond our time together.

We’re based in Colorado Springs, but we frequently work in Castle Rock, Monument, Pueblo, and nearby communities. Not sure if you’re in range? Just ask—we’re happy to travel when possible. Travel fees may apply.
